The questions I hear most often
Can the house be done room by room?
Yes, and it is quite common when the budget is spread over time: one room, one floor, or even a single opening. One tip: treat the openings of the same facade together, to keep profiles and colours consistent as seen from the street.
Aluminium or PVC: which one to choose?
Aluminium is slimmer, more rigid and handles large sizes; it is the natural choice for patio doors and dark colours. PVC insulates better for the same budget and needs zero maintenance. On site, I show you both so you can make an informed choice.
Do you work on older houses?
Yes, that is a large part of the work in the Luberon. Stone walls, irregular surfaces, openings out of plumb: we adapt the profiles and trims so the result respects the house.
Do I need permission to replace my windows or shutters?
Replacing joinery like for like (same shapes, same colours) usually requires nothing. If the look of the facade changes — colours, proportions, adding a blind or a brise-soleil — a prior declaration is often required, especially in the Luberon (protected areas, regional natural park). I will tell you what applies to your house and your town.
What should I do if a shutter or a lock stops working?
Call me and describe the problem. Many faults can be fixed on site (hardware, adjustment, motor) and do not justify a replacement. If the repair would cost more than replacing, I will say so clearly.
